We’re not coming back is an art zine about a series of ordinary in daily life, translated from memory, feeling and imagination. covers the life story of a typical working-class Malaysian family, a visual representation of an unrecorded childhood memory, and the everyday routine of a conventional TeoChew Chinese home.
The format was heavily influenced by the retail catalogues and promotional flyers produced in the 1990s, which were some of the first graphic design prints I encountered as a child, with elements such as product catalogues, Hong Kong movie star advertising and tear-off discount coupons.
